Farnborough is a large bustling town which incorporates North Camp, Cove and Southwood.
It has excellent facilities for all, there are two main shopping areas Kingsmead and Queensmead, which are currently being redeveloped and soon there will be a new complex incorporating a cinema and restaurants. there is also Blackwater Retail Park (formerly Farnborough Gate), which has a new Costa Coffee, and many major retailers have a presence here namely McDonalds, Halfords, Boots, TK Maxx, Currys, to name a few. and then there is Solatron Retail Park which again has many top retailers, nearby is B & Q and Wicks DIY stores
There are seventeen primary schools and three secondary schools and Farnborough College of Technology provides degree-level courses.
There are great transport links, the town has three railway stations and Farnborough lies between junctions 4 & 4a of the M3.
The town is also home to Farnborough Airport which is a really busy airport for businesses, this also incorporates the Farnborough Airshow which is an important event in the International Aerospace and Industry Calendar, the airshow has been at this venue since 1948, its a week long event from Monday-Friday which is for trade wheeling and dealing and the last two days are open to the public. an ideal event for plane spotters many of which can be seen with their cameras taking pictures of the many planes which arrive at the event and the red arrows also perform as a treat for everyone.
